Unit 5 Practicals | AI & Contemporary Technologies Class 10
AI & Contemporary Technologies
Try simple AI tools, train a small model, and explain what the machine learned in your own words.
These practicals are for trying AI tools, training a simple model, and talking about what the result means in very simple words.
- Open a simple AI tool or Teachable Machine page.
- Try one example and see the result.
- Say what the computer learned in your own words.
- Teach AI words with one easy example each.
- Train a model with Teachable Machine using 2 or 3 classes.
- Test the model and see when it is right or wrong.
- Talk about safety, privacy and bias using a simple class discussion.
- Quizzes and tests on AI terms, uses and basic concepts.
- Peer evaluation of Teachable Machine or AI tool activity.
- Presentation of a small AI concept or technology demo.
Train a model to recognize two simple things, like thumbs up/down or two gestures. Show one case where the model makes a mistake and tell why that might happen.
- Use ChatGPT / Bard or similar to generate a short summary of "How the internet works".
- Compare answers from two tools and note differences.
- Install scikit-learn:
pip install scikit-learn. - Run a tiny demo using the Iris dataset to build a classifier (teacher provides notebook).
- Discuss a short scenario about biased AI and list mitigation steps.
- Prepare a 3-minute presentation.
- Use an online simulator or Arduino starter kit to read a sensor value and send it to a simple dashboard (teacher demo).
- Choose one: build a simple chatbot that answers school FAQs, or simulate a sensor and display live values in a browser.
- Write a few AI words with examples.
- Explain one tool you tried.
- Show a small Teachable Machine result or AI tool result.
- Say one good thing and one problem.
